C.O.A.L.E.D.: THE BRITISH CHIPPIE

Incomplete

(11th May 2011)

I rock my chair back and forth

Locked in my room at three

Making my arm a doodle pad

Skewering it with graffiti

As mind begins to wonder where

It shouldn't linger around

I've tamed it to stay confined but

Some memories are too profound

Through flashes I see her descend

She floats in front of me

As I try to catch up with her

So deftly does she flee

Teasing me as I chase around

She flashes her radiant smile

The one which gives me butterflies

The one I hadn't seen for a while

Into the building then she went

It was all dark inside

Come catch me now, I asked her how

She glided out of sight

Just as I began to lose all hope

I saw a source of light

The stairway was just down the hall

The dark made it shine so bright

As I went up a couple of floors

Something had caught my eye

The fairy was sitting on the steps

Flashing her perfect smile

As I sat down along her side

Asked she would you help me

Said I you do all the magic

What good could I possibly be

As my eyes rested on her face

I could see all her pain

Even though that grin never left her lips

Something was driving her insane

As I pen down this song of mine

A thought does strike my mind

I've lived a moment in the past

With experiences of similar kind

Afraid I'll reveal a bit too much

I quit writing this one

Don't want her to figure out just yet

She's the fairy in all my songs!

(9th May 2011)

Sitting by the windowsill

I watched the rain pour down

I thought of the times we were together

As Nickelback hummed a sound

Tears started to roll down my cheeks

I craved to see her smile

Her eyes did wonders to my heart

I hadn't seen them for a while

Picked up my phone, I called her up

The urge was overwhelming

Her radiant face I missed so much

Every part of me was hurting

Told her I was a shade of blue

Said she would come see me

Picked up my keys, I hurried down

I waited by the tree

And then I saw her silhouette

Knew my face had lit up

All I wanted was a hug from her

Held her with all my love

We started to walk down the street

Our fingers did entwine

Looked in her eyes, I felt alive

Like I was drunk on wine

By the lake, I told her how

I'd missed her all these days

Said she did too, feel the same blue

In all the same ways

Lying in her lap, she stroked my hair

She talked of the days of past

Said 'I love you', I did so too

I prayed for this moment to last

As she bent down to kiss my cheek

A distant bell did sound

The closer she got, the louder it got

On my head it started to pound

The chime became unbearable

'Twas time for her to leave

I begged, I cried for her to stay

I was forced to push 'receive'

I put the phone down by the bed

The night had gone on long

The rain had stopped, the moon had dropped

It was already dawn

As I went down to get some food

I saw her cross the street

I wondered if she had a clue

She was the girl in my dream

Glacial Tears

As I flicked on the switches of light

As I took to my seat

My 'friends' they came in one by one

Like always did they bleat

They talked about the day gone by

They blabbered on and on

With one eye on the door ajar

I heard their tales being spawned

And then through the corner of my eye

I saw her enter the room

Surrounded by her friends she was

She gossiped and she bloomed

As I pretended to listen to them

They boasted off in vain

My eyes did stay fixed on her face

Couldn't help but see the pain

She walked past me, she turned around

I looked into her eyes

And in that moment I could see

All the tears that she cries

Never do they flow down her cheeks

Yet they seem to drown her eyes

She hides them well, but I can tell

She's forced to live a lie

She knew I had seen all her pain

She grinned, she shied away

I saw her broken smile and thought

She had something to say

Never could I muster the courage

Never could I say aloud

Never could I go upto her and

Help her sort her life out

The Himalayan Chic

In the midst of the sweaty summer

The thread forty five degrees

The sweltering sun was merciless

He brought us down on our knees

My friend came up with a plan so grand

We couldn't help but nod

Without a further plan or thought

We left for the Abode of God

Swiveling through the winding roads

We soared into the sky

The mercury kept falling down

We felt a sense of high

A mile or two before Rohtang

She fell on our windshield

So white so pure so beautiful

She was all over the field

With boots and gloves and fur coats on

We got out of the buggy

Weaving her magic, we saw in awe

Four thousand meters above the sea

Into the wild, we then drove on

We traveled by the stream

No man no tree no car in sight

We were living the dream

The sky turned dark, we set up camp

Beneath a group of trees

Miles and miles away from man

With God, we felt so free

While they set up the bonfire

I drove along the woods

Not far away there was a man

Who said he'd give me food

With him I went into his house

He kept it nice and clean

I heard a sound, I turned around

She was about sixteen

With soothing eyes and a sensual face

She was a work of art

Words fail when I describe her voice

Which strung every chord of my heart

Into her eyes, I swam around

They were a tinge of blue

And as she cooked, she hummed a song

With a voice so fresh and new

She packed my food, 'twas time to go

I smothered my heart's wick

Still in my head I hear the song
